Can anyone on H1b visa status join a Network marketing or MLM business?

1. Only if it is part of the employer's business for which you received the visa. "H-1B aliens may only work for the petitioning U.S. employer and only in the H-1B activities described in the petition."
2. If the business is web-based, there are no consequences. If the business is physically located in United States, and you have to report to the employers of those business, chances are you could get into trouble if your original employer found out and they dont want you moonlighting and report you to immigration.
3. I wouldn't chance it. You can't get into my MLM without a valid social. My husband just got finished with that immigration mess. I understand how all that goes. What ever you decided good luck to you!
