Amway? LB? MLM or network marketing? Is it legal? Worth to join? What is it about?

Recently I hv heard more n more about Amway and LB, of course others company too... they usually invites us to join their class or talk.. talk about their plan..the benefits of joining... n also shows u the example of how they success (story sharing)... sounds n looks good.. but does it really work? realistics?

1. if you are an outgoing person it can work for you. What you have to think about is that after you tried enroll all your friends and family, you will need to go 'out there' and actively recruit people. if you are a sales person (ie outgoing, loving to chat, never runing out of conversation) there is a good chance that you will be able to make a living out of it, but don't beleive all the riches' stories as you need to work very hard (or be amongst the first ones to join) to make millions
2. Don't waste your time and be taken in by those. There are more legitimate ways to earn a living without leveraging on your social network. Let's be realistic, in the end of the day, all the operating costs of this "work" is bourne by your expenditure in friendship, time and personal sacrifice, instead of those companies.
3. MLM is legal in Singapore and the best companies are usually part of the DIrect Sales Association of SIngapore. Well, no offence.. but I have found that whether it works for me will have no direct relationship on whether it works for you or anyone else. I have seen the biz work for MANY people and there are many people who couldnt make it in the biz as well.. After being in the industry for 3 years, I have found that most people can't make it because: - they have unrealistic expectations - are not willing to work hard - do not treat this as a business but a job - expect money to fall from the sky It can work for you if you are willing to work very hard and change alot of your current mindsets and thinking (which may be tough for most people.) Also, it depends on what you are aiming for. If you are just thinking of a few extra hundred or few thousand dollars. That is really quite easily achievable if you are with the company that I am in ;) But if you are talking about 5 figure incomes, that would really require lots of hard work and persevearance. I think a good mentor/leader in the biz is important as well. You are only at best, as good as your mentor. If you want to make it big in the company, then you must find someone who made it really really big.. For eg, my mentor is a multi millionaire and he has broken a certain MLM company's world record within 14 days.. when people said he was lucky, he used another 18 days to break that record and also has ever started the biz in 27 different countries in a matter of days. He is also a man of impeccable intergrity and is a caring man who does not just care about the business but also the well being of my family, including my little baby son. My other mentor earns 5 figure incomes in a week and has been in the biz for 13 years. He has helped me alot in my business... and under the mentorship of these two people, I can't say I am doing too badly since I can earn a full time income on a part time basis and still have time to stay at home and play with my baby. Chances are, there will be many tempted to answer your question to buy you over to their side of whether MLM is good or not. But why bother, dun believe what others say. Anyway, wat others say is not important.. it is just talk anyway... If you really have a goal to achieve and really want the success that those pple are exhibitiing, why dun you just go into the industry and give your all.. and then you can tell ME whether or not it is worth to join MLM.. hahaha.. 4. They are legal. And some of the bosses have 'attained' titles of Millionaire. If you are interested, can joined in and try out. But if you are a person who can take stresses, then dont bother, cos you do need to meet certain targets at certain period. :P All the best
