Why do people in MLM say its a business, but when asking for their numbers compare it to a paycheck?

Don't these people realize a paycheck is for a job, and revenue/expenses is for a business? People in MLM tell you its a business until you ask for their numbers, and then its a job and private. I would not ask for their information if they were hiring me for a job, but trying to sign me up for their business those numbers should be expected. Is this just yet another component that makes MLM a joke?

1. The numbers are private because they cannot prove their outrageous and dumb claims. If they show you their numbers, you would see zeros across the board. That doesn't put them into a position to be able to sell you, so the numbers remain "private."

3. I do not get what you are asking. Are you asking from the companys number, or the rep that is showing it to you. If it is the companys you should get that online or by call the home office. But if it is the rep that should tell you right there [a good busines person should know this]. You are right as this is not MLM and is for people that are serious and who don’t want to be misled as we have tried many things and have found a company that has been around for 21 Years and pays you to advertise for them. My wife and I just started and are doing well. It is not an MLM company and no selling, no deliveries or stocking product. My wife’s aunt has been working with this Company (Melaleuca) for a little over 3 years and home schools 3 kids and makes $9,000 a month. 5. I am assuming based on your past Q&A that you are asking a rhetorical question here, but I am going to answer anyway. The fact is, they cannot supply numbers because the major sham of MLM is that its all hype and no fact. Now, just watch when they tell you the reason is because its not your business. MLM is the only business on the planet where DUE DILIGENCE is a bad word. LOL. I bet most MLMer's don't even know what due diligence is since most of them are only actual business people in their fantasy world of MLM where everyone is a millionaire and everyone outside of MLM is a loser. You are spot on, MLM is a joke and MLMer's professing about its greatness are the punchline. ***oh, and BTW, Rich F, the answerer above me, is in Mellaleuca which is total MLM. He posts his same spam (exact cut and paste) in nearly all his answers. The fact that he says its not MLM makes him either the most deceiving person of all MLM spammers or the dumbest...either way, stay away.
