any direct sales people have tips?

I just began selling a jewelry through direct sales. It's kind of difficult so far, but does anyone have tips for earning new business, where to look for good clients?

  2. i would say advertise Who is your target costomer? okay now where does that target human hang out? eg: if you make kid jewelry you may want to look for mothers and kids post fliers at schools advertise with disney ect ect.. you can make the best of the best but word of mouth it will take a lot longer! invest in yourself in our sales meeting it is said that! if you want to make 100 dollars you must spend at least half of what you want to make to have a chance at getting it! so 50 dollars would help out! I would consider web ads and other stuff and build a web site! and don't forget to grow your target consumer
  3. I am currently a leader in the direct selling industry. This advice comes from experience. 1. Look to your friends and family first to help you out. Be very honest about your needs. Invite them over for a "show" (or whatever your company calls it) and tell them that this is a new venture for you and you really need their help by booking their own show. Most people want to see someone close to them succeed and would be willing to help but not if you don't ask. 2. Be ready for business. Always have catalogues and business cards with you. When you go to the doctor's or dentist, show the receptionist a catalogue or go one step further and ask if you can leave the catalogue there. 3. Join a community group, social club etc.... 4. Talk to your neighbours. Make sure they know what you do. How would you feel if you saw another rep from your company going into your neighbour's house only because she didn't know you were a rep for that same company? These are only 4 of a plethora of booking ideas. I hope they help.
