If MLM / Network Marketing companies did not allow recruiting for 2 years...would anyone do it?
If one had to sell the product or service for 2 years and sell enough to earn a respectable amount of personal commissions before one could recruit, do you think anyone would stick around in these companies?

- It doesn't sound like an MLM company then - the PRIMARY focus of MLM's is to recruit and grow, thereby alienating your friends and afamily as quickly as possible
- And screwing over your credit rating chasing the "dream".
- Absolutely - however some companies don't offer viable products or are one time sales, so for those type, I doubt they would stick around. NOT ALL MLM companies are just about recruiting. Jennifer Helping others create income from home through education of the system and how it really works.
- Define respectable amount of personal commissions. What might be acceptable for one may not be acceptable for others. That is the beauty of MLM, you can dare to dream and choose to earn a couple hundred of extra dollars per month or you can earn huge amounts of money. I could sell enough products to earn a respectable amount of commission in 1 day. I do it every day. What, are you the MLM police now Marcello? Perhaps you feel you are one of those people who can tell others how to live their life now? You should re-read the responses to some of your questions in the last little while. People are definately giving you a message..... We're pitchin' but you ain't catchin' boy!
- OK, this is actually a good point, becuase having spent a life in sales I can tell you that anyone worth their weight in sales does not sell mlm product and services. The commsisions are bleak, the products are overprices and over hyped, and mlm is full of people who signed up because they thought signing up people they know was the secret to getting rich, not actually marketing something. What you are describing IS a sales position. There isnothing wrong with a sales position. The key to mlm is that it is about recruiting others, not about sales, which is the problem. SO what you are suggesting it taking out the problem. No matter how many knuckleheads our there promote mlm and no matter how many crazy people respond to your questions stating mlm is credible, it won't change the fact that mlm is the biggest waste of time out there. THe internet has only meant that many of these peope can promote their mlm opportuntities ad nauseum.
