If MLM is such a great "opportunity", why do 99.9% of people that join lose money?

It's not a great opportunity. Typically the people telling you it is simply want to make a quick buck off of you.
you just have to work at it like anything else it is not a get rich quick thing you have to put work into like anything else you do it is not going hand you a check and you not have to work for it
If you haev ever read Rich Dad, Poor Dad, you will see he talks about MLM or network marketing and it being one of the 3 best businesses to own if you get one with a good system in place. He has stated that the business I am with is one of them, which has been around for 34 years. People fail because they think they join, sit back and do nothing and that is how money is made. They are wrong. Or, the problem is people join companies that are just starting and go bankrupt. It is all in what you are willing to do and people do not understand that. I am doing pretty well in mlm and will be rich in it soon enough!
Well, my neighbor wrote a book saying that MLM was the future of all sales. So, being that it was written in a book, its fact, and there you have it...even though my neighbor doesn't do MLM and wrote the book with the intent to sell books, but that stuff is all irrelevant. Since when is 99.9% considered bad anyway? That means that 0.1% of people succeed! That is 1 in a 1000. So, all I have to do to succeed is get 1000 people in my downline, and same with everyone else. So you see, EVERYONE can succeed in MLM. Think about this for a second, if I get 10 people on my first level, and they do the same, on my 10th level I will have 1 BILLION people in my group. We are working towards this now. When I get there, they only need to each sell $100 a YEAR in product and I will be making over a BILLION DOLLARS. So, you can harp on the 99.9% number, but don't be insulted when me and 1 BILLION people around you are all becoming BILLIONAIRES in my company. Do you ever notice that anyone you talk to in MLM is GOING to be rich! See, we are going to be RICH. That should be important to you because to be rich you only have to do 2 things...first, you must join MLM, and second, you must say you are going to be rich. Its that easy.
You are right MLM is a great opportunity but people lose money because of many reasons: 1.Follow the system thoroughly. 2.Be submissive (most people cannot accept this). 3.Teachable (most people ego is hurt or think they know everything) 4.Vision (Man without vision shall perish) or dreamer. 5.Hard work (not instant gratification but delayed gratification)I want things now, not going to happen. 6.Team player 7.Consistent & persistent attitude 8.Fear of failure (some fail once that's it!) done. 9.Negativity (Listen to friends for opinion who have no clue of any business) Last few years I have being coaching group of businessmen to get to their success level.This is what I have learned. for further info. email ppandya_1@yahoo.com
sure, lots of people fail at MLM, because they figure people will show up at the door with barrows of cash for no effort. I am doing MLM with juice, and it is a slow start, and take persistence. But I am making money now. Not much at first, but it grows a bit every month, and the potential is there. And it grows with each seed I plant. But YOU MUST PLANT THE SEEDS. People hear how easy it is, and sign up but dont do anything. You get out what you put in, and MLM gets the black eye when some whiner is disappointed when he is not driving a Mercedes in half an hour. Sure, you can sign up and not do anything and fail. Or you can put an effort out there and succeed. It is like car salesmen, or anyone who works on straight commission. You don't start off making $100,000 a year, and probably 90% + of them leave it after the first month. But you don't hear how the failure rate is a negative there. You can succeed if you work at it. And you can succeed in a big way.
I am not sure if the number 99.9% is correct. Should it be 99.999% or 80%? All I know that I am active in some MLM telecom companies. I do not make a lot or money, but translating per hour of my contributions it many times more than the "minimum wage" or "basic salary". I like Tel3advantage and Nobelcom. MLM REALLY A GREAT OPPORTUNITY... but majority people who get in do not take it as a business. they take it as a hobby. if you considered it as hobby you will get paid as hobby. MLM is great... forget those propaganda... go to the websites and search for topic called "MLM FAILURES"
I will tell you why...lack of effort, and doing all the wrong things...I have been involve in MLM for almost six years now...the last four very, very successfully, I might add...but it took a while to learn how to promote successfully and most efficiently. The reason most people fail is that they assume they will get rich in a matter of a couple of months...it just is not so... So, what they do is rather than sticking with a program and seeing it through....they simply jump from program to program, never giving any of them a chance to work. Most are scams, start your own business.
They don't follow the directions and stick at it long enough. They are not willing to do what others won't do to succeed. They buy too much product. Buy excessive leads. Don't work smart. email me...
The truth is MLMs have mark-up issues, tax issues, profit motive issues, etc
So that the .01% can make a boatload!
