What do people in MLM use to assess the business opportunity financially? Being that all MLMers tell you its a business, I am wondering what business principals are used to assess the opportunity from a financial point of view. For instance, last year I bought an apartment building and my investigation of whether it was a good financial opportunity consisted of looking at the gross and net incomes for the prior 3 years (verifying income and expenses) , looking at the market rents and occupancy rates, and calculating the average sales prices (on a per unit base) over the past 6-12 months within a 1 mile radius. All that information was used in my financial assessment of the deal and to help me decide whether it was worthwhile. Looking at financial statements is key in buying any business, but I have never heard of this in MLM. Other than statements made at a meeting or from their sponsor, what financial criteria is being used to decide whether the MLM "business opportunity" makes sense financially and is it ever verified? Mexico4me, so your research was merely looking at a COMPENSATION PLAN! Oh my, how sad. What exactly did you verify? That the plan would pay a particular compensation percentage? So, you are telling me your upline number's, someone who is supposedly making money running this MLM business, was of no interest to you? Yes, you are delusional. Thanks for proving my point!
Can someone evaluate this MLM Opportunity? I have been reading the archives in Yahoo answers and I see that about half support MLM programs and about half don't. If you can help me, what do you think of this opportunity www.dolphincommunications.net. I am seriously looking for feedback on this specific program not just the opinions of the subject in general. Thanks. I have been reading the archives in Yahoo answers and I see that about half support MLM programs and about half don't. What are 10 reasons why mlm is the worst opportunity in the world? MLMers brag that it is the best, now lets hear why it's the worst.
MLM or Party Plan, which is the best business opportunity? I am tired of working long hours. I would like to work from home, so I may spend time with my family. I am wanting to hear from someone who is actually involved in an MLM or home party plan and earning enough money to support themselves. I want to know if there is a system out there that really works without scamming friends and family. If not, I guess I will have to stay in the corporate world.
How can I find LEGITIMATE (non-MLM) online business opportunities? I'm largely confined to home for health reasons but still need to earn a decent income. My computer skills are pretty good but I don't have much for an initial investment. Any suggestions?
Press release reaching those seeking Business Opportunities, Home Business, Work from Home, MLM opportunities? Where do I post a press release reach those seeking Business Opportunities, Home Business, Work from Home, MLM opportunities?
What is the best MLM company going today? I just wanted to know what MLM company do you think has the best opportunity and why. If you could also say what product they offer.
Why do people in MLM always say the fact that its legal means its a good business? Whenever I ask a question in regards to why people in MLM think its a viable business opportunity, they inevitably come back with information showing me why its legal. OK, I got it...I am not going to go to jail by getting into MLM. Now show me why its viable by actually PROVING people are making all this money, by actually PROVING that MLM companies sell massive amounts of product to people who are not reps themselves, and PROVING that its possible to have a network that can continue to grow past 20 levels deep. Can anyone in MLM actually do this?
What is the best way to find good prospects for an MLM? I have an MLM that I'm working on building. It is a great low risk opportunity (low cost plus a money back guarantee) with a product that actually doesn't require extra science or convincing (it's not potions, pills, etc...rather, it's best selling books). However, the main hurdle I have is finding people who are open to the concept of MLM in general rather than the specific company I'm with. I find that either people are totally NOT interested in MLM or if they are interested, they're already in their own and not interested in joining mine (which is understandable...because I'm not looking to switch to theirs either). So my question is how and where people find GOOD prospects that are actually ready to sign up for a new MLM (I've seen 'networking' sites that help you build networks of like minded folks, but it's the same problem, we're all their to tout our own company...not to join someone else's...and the websites themselves are often selling their own separate agenda). Thoughts?
What people think in India about MLM( Multi level Marketing), while it is a interesting eaning method ? If a well established company provide us good opportunity to earn unlimited thru MLM than why we should not accept it ?
Legit work from home no mlm, with a real company? I would love to find a real opportunity. Anyone out there that can help? Not looking for mlm>
What are some of the best hypocrisies/claims made in mlm? 1-How about its just like any other business...such as buying a franchise - except when you ask to see their income from mlm (or even their upline who supposedly are successful) its suddenly personal income and none of your business. As if you would ever buy a franchise without looking at the working numbers of the same franchise in other locations. 2-How about "its a ground floor opportunity" or "the time will never be the same to get involved" yet on the other hand the entire compensation plan is for people to be continually signing up forever, with it being geometric so 2, 3, 5 years from now, there will need to be exponentially more people needed to be coming in to continue the same oppotunity...but somehow the opportunity is better now than it will be in the future! 3-How about MLM has a system that cuts out the middle man and advertising costs, yet now several layers of people get paid and MLM products are always more expensive than market. Tons more. Let's hear 'em... haha...i don't know if its "hypocritical" per se...but this first answer sure is a testament to the mind set of the MLMer. Every second they get, they are always pitching their MLM bullsh*t. LOL. I post a question about hypocrites in MLM and the first post in someone pitching me their MLM. Man, no wonder MLM has such a bad rep...let it go! Priceless. Mexico4me: Thanks for your amusing response. Why would I have interested in a business that is set up to fail. Anyone with common sense knows that a geometrically growing network, even 2x2, eventually gets so large its unsustainable. You call that residual income...gimme a break. Obvious I subscribe to a 45 year plan? Nice work, but your ignorance is showing. Would it kill you to even look at my profile first before making assumption. I am a real estate investor by trade and live off income from apartment buildings. You talk of residual income as though an mlm business actually provides such...but you are dependent on the hope that your downline continues to grow at unrealistic rates, where I, as a real estate investor, am merely dependent on people needing a placer to live. Rants about MLM? Get a clue...i posted a question in regard to the amusing statements you always hear associated with MLM and you get overly defensive....pahleeeeze!
For those who seek to build an MLM business.....What do those who bash MLM on Yahoo Answers offer? Mentoring? What do you look for in a home based business opportunity? Do you seek a product or service you will enjoy sharing? Do you study the compensation plan before joining? Do you understand what your target market is? Do you seek a mentor who will provide one on one training as needed? Do you plan to become a mentor? Would you join an MLM company based on yours or someone else's greed?
I am interested in on line network marketing/MLM Internet but need to know the right companies.? there are out there so many negative written comments about MLM business opportunity and wonder if it works all. traditonally it is a form of dierct selling usind distributors , however if it can not be done without cold calling coz all of us need the money and like the products and services offed but do not like to be agents.
Why do people in MLM/Network Marketing proclaim they are making so much money yet need to spam every question? Literally, you cannot post a question in small business or careers & employment without getting one of them spamming you with their business opportunity, yet these are the same people who supposedly are making money hand over fist? What is the deal, and do any of these people actually think decent people want to get into a business that requires nonstop spamming? Why is it only people in MLM feel the need to announce they are making all this money...no other business does that. ***Rich F, LMAO! You are a spam artist spamming about Melaleuca!!! Is there a worse MLM company out there than Melaleuca? Oh please. I love how in one of your answers you profess it involved "no selling". Priceless! No selling, so what, you just are a pure pyramid or its just morons like you buying? No sales...please. LOL. That is the problem with MLM you dolt...no one is good enough to sell the product on their own so you need to sign up others to get paid. Man, I pity your mentality.
Legit No MLM Actual Bonafide WORK AT HOME opportunities really exist? Looking for a job I can do at home and still be here to take care of my grandmother. I am good with the computer and I have Lots of Customer Service experience. I am good at research as well. However would be open to anything as long as it is legit and not and MLM or tied to the internet porn industry. Thanks! Any good companies you can make a decent living at that are not MLM?
Why doesnt MLM have any concern for supply and demand? Lets say for example a respectable MLM company sells juice made from a certain type of berry. And lets say 10,000 distributors can easily handle the demand for this tasty treat (that also cures cancer). Do they not see it as a problem if they sign up 20,000 or 30,000 people into this great opportunity?
Someone I sponsored in my MLM is on the fence, how do I convince her? I have this lady I sponsored to an initial rep agreement who is on the fence about spending the $4500 to get initial products. Her excuse is that she is 79 and really does not know how to sell the products once she has bought them, but I have told her repeatedly that she needs to get them FIRST before understanding the value of the opportunity. I get a big commission check if she buys this stuff (as does my immediate upline) so how to I coerce her to buy? Once she buys, I really don't care if she sells it or not...but I need her to sell it to move up in rank. Help!
Do you know of any other MLM programs like Avon that a guy can do? I'm search for a little home based business opportunity I can start that is similar to the Avon business opportunity. I am a man so selling beauty products probably wouldn't be the best thing for me.
Are there actually people out there still thinking about network marketing/mlm? Has it been proven enough yet that these generally are set up as ponzi schemes, and those that are actually legal have products that no one could make a living selling on their own, thus making the recruiting part necessary? I am sure there are those who will respond with their company being the best and wanting to get my email etc...or those who are making big bucks but won't show me a financial statement despite calling this a business opportunity (who would start a business without seeing operating statements?). But I want to hear from those who are actually convinced about network marketing/mlm without having to sort through the above mentioned replies. So, is anyone out there, or is is this industry dead? ibofightback - thanks for the answer, but going over your numbers I had to comment. You say Network Marketing Firms distribute over $100 billion a year in goods and services and there are 8-10 million distributors...well simple division means that is $10,000-$12,000 annual sales/distributor!!! Even at 50% commission you could earn more with minimum wage in a year! With all due respect, your numbers give more credence to the belief that network marketing/mlm is a pure ponzi scheme than anything I have heard. It seems to me more than ever that the issue with network marketing/mlm is that its all about recruiting others to do the work, and not selling the products themselves. Of those 8-10 million distributors, how many can possibly be distributing enough on their own merit to make a living? Its all about making money off the efforts of others isn't it?
What can you tell me about Coastal Vacations? I believe this is some sort of a MLM business opportunity. Selling discount vacation packages at discount rates. I would welcome your comments regarding your experience with this company. Should I waste my time or not? Scam or not? Hey Gerald S. That website you advised me to check out came from Coastal Vacations. I gave your answer a bad rating.
Does anyone out there know where there is a legitimate work at home job opportunity? I want to telecomute. Don't want to pay astronomical fees, NO MLM
Where to purchase pre-designed mlm post cards? Is there such a place online where we can go to to purchase pre-designed post cards for marketing a business opportunity? I don't want to create my own cards, I want to find one that's already offered and looks good. Through doing some research, I did find pre-designed post cards on ebay.
Is there a better business opportunity than this one? I am looking to start a home based business and I have been searching for just the right one to promote. I found a business that sells Noni juice at http://www.buyMynoni.com that seems perfect, but I just want to make sure if there is something better out there. What I do know is that: • I do not want to take surveys to make money • I am not interested in MLM or Network Marketing businesses • I want to stay away from the get rich schemes Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Do you feel embarrassed/pity for the people you know in MLM? You will never find a bigger group of emotionally driven people than in MLM. MLMers defend their business as though you insulted their family. MLM is a dream (albeit one than never comes true) and talking poorly about that dream is like driving a knife into the back of the person in MLM. If you look around just on yahoo question you see the MLMers jumping at any chance to promote their business. Can you imagine being in a business where you have to present the "business opportunity" to anyone who will listen and degrade your business so much so that you will align yourself with anyone who gives the slightest positive response...without having any idea about them? See my extra note for a quick story...then add your own comments. PS-can't wait to hear all the emotionally driven MLMers bashing me for killing their dream. Hilarious. Talk poorly about any bad investment, bad business deal, etc, and its just analyzing a business...talk bad about MLM and you are Satan himself. I have a family member once that came to be for some advice in investing with 7 other people in a gas station in California. He was all excited because gas prices were going up, the product was something virtually everyone used, and the industry was so bright. However, upon careful examination, the profit margin was so small on the particular deal that it was a terrible investment and I steered him away from it. 5 of the people ended up investing and losing their shirts. Needless to say, my family member was very thankful.... Since then I have had this same family member bring me this amazing business opportunity with all this fancy market data and info about how the product was so amazing asking for my opinion. After analyzing the deal, I showed simply how it was unsustainable and he would need to do sell immense sustainable volume to even approach the incomes he was looking for. Of course, this was an MLM deal and when I advised him to steer clear, he was emotionally driven and his peers told him that anyone who disagreed with the opportunity was merely a negative person who didn’t understand the deal. Needles to say, he wasted, 2 and a half years of his life, hurt his credibility with his business associates and friends who he emotionally tried to push the business on, and never made anything of significance... So suddenly when it’s a conventional business opportunity looking at the numbers logically I have an intelligent unbiased viewpoint. But when you use the same approach to someone looking at MLM, you are suddenly negative and don’t know what you are talking about. Well since that time, this same family member has resurrected himself. He ended up investing in a self storage facility and now runs a reputable property management firm. He in fact is doing very well…which leads to the obvious point that even astute business people who are quite capable of making a good living not only get hooked into MLM from time to time, but even they cannot make it happen. Oh, how I pity those stuck in MLM with their false hopes and unproven incomes and foolish product testimonials. ***kzzxguy *** - don't get me wrong, I have great respect for anyone trying to make it big. I lose a little respect for those however who think making it big is signing someone else who will do what they are unwilling to do themsevles. Perhaps a better way to put it...I think sales is one of the most respectable professions. But consider, to be in business on your own and be considered at least semi-successful you need to be earning upwards of 80-100k/year. Well, even at 10% that requires close to a million in total sales annually whether it be you or your downline. The problem with MLM is that they offer far less commissions and people think selling a $40 bottle of some health product is going to get there there. They assume since everyone is saying that "so and so" is making $20k/month or because some doctor is doing it part time that its reasonable they will make that money, but never consider what it really takes to move that much product. "Build your downline"..riiiight! CLASSIC! It was only a matter of time until MEXICO4ME stopped in all defensive. This person is the perfect of the sad MLMer. Just look at the profile..spending all this time posting answers 90% of the time pitching his/her spam MLM business. If you don't like me talking down about MLM, why do you post an answer any time I post anything about MLM? Pure emotion. Look at your answer. You jump to baseless conclusions such as "40 year plan" which is merely the MLM brainwashed reply to anyone who disagrees with their business. Let me repost the answer I posted a while back that no MLMer will ever respond to because its an honest intelligent look at MLM for what it is. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AvRNBZ5HP0NuOlpQmIFmHXvsy6IX?qid=20060829065246AAQOdsR But go ahead and continue to call me names and making baseless assumptions instead of actually debating the points. That is the MLM creed afterall...use a tag line whenever faced with fact.
Is there a way to just sit in front of the computer and yet earn the money world wide? I am just wondering is there any way to earn the money just in front of the computer? Which means no need to find the customer my self but can earn a lot of money? Because of the job I am doing now, (very time consuming) There is no way for me to find customer my self. And I am not that type of person who can share the mlm business openly. But yet a lot of opportunity like the mlm need us to find customer our self you see. Maybe you have some way please share with me. Thanks and best regard.
What is the best sales position to do from home? What are some high ticket items that people sell from their home using phone sales. I am retired and looking to fill some of my time selling some big ticket items by phone as I spent a lifetime doing phone sales. I don't want to be involved in any product that requires lengthy follow up (such as real estate) but have no trouble calling businesses or residential numbers. I prefer something where commission payout is quick relative to the call time. Anyone have any ideas? (Please, no nutritional product, no business opportunity, and certainly no MLM nonsense). Thanks.
what are your opinions on MLM and direct selling? i am curious to know individual experiences with MLM and direct selling~ how you got into it, your experience, what product/company~ just share your thoughts~ i find it very intriguing, how many people get involved in these opportunities, the driving force being the ability to utilize your time the way you'd like, as well as being able to "run" your own business - sounds quite awesome, especially for the right motivated individual~ so please, share~
If you had to choose 1 way to make money, would you rather...? 1. Clean public transportation toilets 2. Pick up garbage 3. Be a cashier at a convenience store in a bad end of town 4. Bug your friends with MLM opportunities 5. Be an unarmed guard at maximum security prison
where can i find real work from home jobs? hi, i'm looking for genuine home based working opportunities worldwide..no mlm or stuff like that.
Assuming you will drop out like all other mlm people..... like 99.999999999 % of all the other mlmers.....? Do you think you feel worse about signing up your children or your old age parents...... think about it..... "mlm is such a great opportunity....." really?!?!
Anyone familiar with an opportunity with Ambit ? Deregulation of energy.Entreprenureal networking opportunity? Its a MLM business, where all you have to do is get people to switch their energy provider an recruit other marketers to work under you
MLM question? If MLM is such a great "opportunity", why do 99.9% of people that join lose money?
Why do so many people talk so down on networking bussiness? Since MLM products (as a rule) are priced higher than what might be considered “retail” in stores there needs to understanding and consideration of: a. MLM products have to be of higher quality than retail products to get customers to “feel better.” Time after time exposé’s on TV show that many items on a store shelf contain nothing but the equivalent of “sawdust.” To stay alive MLM companies “generally” have to produce higher quality products. To determine which are most effective requires a product by product test by the MLM seller. Only by personal experience can an MLM Distributor “bond to a product.” This “bonding” is an essential element of being able to aptly sell a product. MLM IS A GOOD BUSINESS Yes, there are some bad companies out there and pure pyramid schemes. Over all MLM is the Last hope in America for the little person to learn how to make money and actually do it. There are over 10 million people that earn a part time to a full time MLM income. People that hate MLM always ignore the part timer person because I swear the "Bashers" (see below) would rather have them washing dishes or waiting tables. My heart goes out to that divorced woman with 2 kids whose MLM income lets her spend more time with those kids. A woman who that extra $500 a month means the "world" to her and her kids. I look at the people making a living at $3500 a month that are happy. It isn't just our industry that highlights the high income earners so does Franchising and all types of business opportunities besides MLM. It's human nature to look at high dollar earners. Every year when college starts enrollees are looking at what graduates started earning when they graduated last spring. Priests and teachers are the only ones deliberately going into a low end earning business (they earn respect WHY DO I THOROUGHLY DISLIKE MLM BASHERS AND THEIR ACADEMIC FRAUD? Most MLM "Bashers" (people that say MLM is no good) have never been close to a good MLM company. They took one bad experience and go bonkers about it. Their point of veiw is a pinhole to match the brain in. Most are wage earning tongue draggers that have not been outside their local city limits. Why do I get mad at them? I have global experience. I have lost more money in more businesses (the majority non-MLM) than those losers ever made! I have also made more money (some of it in MLM) than they could even remotely imagine! Most MLM bashers hate successful people. They go into a state of shock when they see "ignorant" people (by their silly standards) making money. The bashers never figured out that People without a P.H.D. are not automatically dumb. The bashers were outraged when they saw high school dropouts making $500,000 a year. Of course many bashers, that joined MLM companies, were really outraged when they found they would have to "share" or sell something. Work - on my no they cried! Bashers want people to live in cradle to grave society with no risk and wash dishes their whole life. They are the "new socialists" and work hard at destroying vestiges of the last bastion of economic freedom in America and the world! They totally ignore the "little" success stories outlined in the first paragraph. http://www.mlmwatchdog.com/Report_MLMIsGood.html
Can anyone tell me a LEGITIMATE way to make money in a home business? We have tried eBay and we found it extrememly difficult to compete with the larger power sellers. We are not exactly the best salespeople face to face, but we do not mind hard work and we do not mind putting in the hours as long as their is an eventual payoff. Please don't suggest MLM programs, envelope stuffing, pyramid schemes, eBay, cyber begging or anything illegal. I am a school teacher. I LOVE teaching. I am a very good teacher in a midwestern high school. I would be very depressed to have to leave my position as a teacher because I love it so much. The prospect of going into the world of selling insurance or sitting in a cubicle depresses me even more. What we (my wife, kids and I) need in order for me to keep teaching and for us to stay afloat financially, is a good financial opportunity. Thank you!
the easyiest way to bring a group of people together to present a work at home marketing presentation? its a all natural network marketing home business opportunity, the presentation is free. mlm/networking gurus reply
Help, need some answers for my Network Marketing/MLM business!? I am involved in a company where all the numbers line up well, I really enjoy the products and services (used them before I ever got in the business side) and I am beginning to sign up people. The issue I am having however is that the opportunity is presented where I stand to do really well by signing up only 3 people in my downline who also do the same for 7 levels deep. Here is the problem i see...for this to work, those people on my 7th level must all have the same opportunity as I do, and their 7th level people must have the same opportunity as well. Well, at my level 25, using a 3x3 matrix, that requires over 847 million people!!! So, that is never going to happen...so it seems like ALL Network Marketing/MLM Companies have this same problem that the opportunity can not continue to grow and are destined to fail. Help me understand how any Network Marketing/MLM company doesn't have the same problem? All answers greatly appreciated.
