Is it illegal for a company or organization to call themselves a University? If in fact they are not a University and are not accredited? I am researching a company that is the "Training Company" for a MLM corporation. This particular training company calls itself a university, but there is noaccreditationn for it, and it is not listed for the Council of Higher Education. I am in a hard spot in my MLM? Hello i seem to have dislike for traditional methods because of chasing prospects, 3-way validations, hotel meetings, getting people to come to the presentation and just using company tools. The company i am in is good but using traditional methods and i'm not liking the training they offer in the company. Anyone heard about LFI Group with its MLM strategy? Selling a dream.. sounds familiar? MLM's make 90% of their money through turn-over. Constantly repeating a cycle of recruiting, training, selling and quitting. Most people will join, sell what they can to friends and family, then quit. It's only an opportunity for those willing to recruit and train. Problem is, once you realize you are selling overpriced crap to your friends and family, most people won't be able to recruit anyone if they don't believe in the product they are selling. Bottom line, MLM's are tough for most people to make any real money at, unless you stick through it long enough to recruit lots of people below you, where you make money on their sales. And of course no one wants to show you their books or really look at hard figures, because it's all pie in the sky. Seen it too many times... Oh yeah... The core business is Wellness Sanctuary locate at Marine Parade Central they have extensive product range with Nice Ambassodors. MLM same feeling regardless! What do you all think ? For eg. If one gets 6000 PV, their commision wld be 8%, depending on their rank. So it else wld be 480 dollars, but what currency? HOWEVER, guess what, LFI PAYS as a brand new MLM company, pays it own Singaporean agents in ringgits? SO effectively, local distriubtors who are working in Singapore are being rewarded and paid in Malayisian Ringgit! SMART eh. Instead of being paid 480 sing, he is paid 480 rinngit. Convert it to singh, it wld be s$201.6. LFI is a big time profit eating scam to all its agents. It sells it products in singh dollars and pay their pple in ringgits. The agent in this case, get a mere 3.2% comission. The profit margin wld be so high that the CEO of the company, whoever he is, is getting actually 96.8% of YOUR PROFITS! SO ISN'T LFI A SCAM OR WHAT?

What value do MLMers add to their company if they are not doing large personal sales? Generally in society you can tie your pay to the value you are providing. The more value you add, the higher compensation you generally get (negotiation abilities aside). Someone who is merely a sales person earning commission earns pay for the amount of product they are effectively able to move, the more they sell, the more they get paid. Someone who organizes a business, risks their own capital, and runs it successfully reaps the value of all these components in profits. A cashier who works on a low hourly wage offers their time in exchange for a job that is easily replaceable, requires little training and virtually no education, hence the low pay since the value is relatively low. In all cases the value is directly related to the compensation Now what about MLM. What possible value is there that an MLM offers if they are selling minimum amounts of product themselves? It the view that merely signing up others is valuable? If so, how sad. To fend of the expected answer comparing MLMers to sales managers earning commissions overrides from their organization, let me point out the obvious: Sales managers focus their time managing their sales staff who SELL enough value to earn an income. Signing up people and showing them how to sell things and sign others up is in NO WAY the same thing. Only in the mind of the very heavily biased MLMers trying to justify their value, which evidently doesn't exist (perhaps explaining the lack of respect the industry receives).

What is Pr!merica and what makes it an MLM scam? My friend's annoying me by asking if i could join her "team" in Primerica's "be your own boss" business. She even said if I wanted to have sex with her, she'll allow it as long as I join. But I heard you have to pay $100 to join and be there every day without pay for training and then I have to find recruits. I don't like the idea of annoying my friends and family to recruit them into a cycle of fraud and scams. Need some answers plz!

lack of motivation and inspiration with selling issues and business issues? My huge problem is that one way or another i want to be rich and free and entrepreneurial and an investor, however I'm not attracted to the outcome of being rich and enjoy freedom like normal people are which is mostly money, i know i want freedom and wealth, however i can't seem to motivate me enough to actually want it so bad that i'll do anything in my power to make it happen. From day to day I just get by, i do a little in my business, i work 40hours a week, and i attend some training from the MLM company I'm in, but i'm not attracted by the money while other people in my MLM company are like moving and moving creating customers daily while i'm not into the money/sales part at all.. Okay I have a lot of questions about my career? My ultimate goal is to build a successful network marketing company that will pay residual income for me to retire on. Don't tell me it won't work and that mlm is a scam, because I KNOW I can succeed with the training I have and the people I know. Now, my plan to get there is to become a massage therapist (to support myself) by going to massage school and getting licensed in a state to begin practice. I will work as an employee for a year or so until I can build a clientele for my own practice. In the meantime, I will be finishing my GED and after about a year of working as a massage therapist I will focus on my Business major in Marketing so that I will be more effective in building my own practice. By the time I earn my degree, my earning power will rise, I will have learned the necessary skills from my major to create a successful private practice, and I will have enough money to support myself to live somewhere. Now, the questions. What state would be best for me to move to, so I can attend a four year college to earn my bachelor's degree, MEANWHILE, the first year attending an accredited massage school, then becoming license, then the next year in my GED, working to support myself, then beginning my own private practice, MEANWHILE, focusing on my major and learning valuable skills to help me not only building my clientele, but also building my network marketing downline, then when I earn my degree and earning power rises and I have my own practice, building my mlm business to eventually retire. So the question is, what state would be BEST, for attending a massage school, meanwhile attending a good four year college to earn my Bachelor's degree, has good job prospects for being a massage therapist, and a good location for this as well, and has a moderate or low cost of living, low enough to support myself in college and as a massage therapist and eventually self employed? Herbalife weight loss consultant? So I responded to a job/internship offer to be a health consultant for weight loss and helping people get healthy. I went to this "interview" and it was about Herbalife products. The girl who was talking to me said this was all about helping people achieve their weight loss goals, which really appealed to me, and she only briefly talked about the products, as if it wasn't of the greatest importance. Then I went home and researched Herbalife and found out about how it is a MLM system. The girl didn't tell me anything about recruiting others (as I know that's how MLM works). I emailed her and said politely that I didn't want to be a part of this because MLM wasn't for me. She called me back and explained that I wasn't expected to really sell the products but just to help her clients with weight loss challenges and helping people get healthy. So that's where I'm stuck, is she saying this because she genuinely wants to help me help others or is it clever wordplay to get me into the Herbalife system? I mean I didn't pay anything, she paid for the information packet, but I am listed now as a "distributor" and they want me to go to a training session on Saturday. Any (positive) advice would be lovely.

I need career suggestions. I am a single father who recently hurt his back at work.? I am extreemly strong. Even when strong guys work together I have always been the strongest with the most endurance. My life and the safety and security of my children have depended upon my back and how much I can work. Now, I have been severely injurred. My company is self insured and the treatment has been second best, if that. Compensation for the job was already inadequit. Now the insurance is playing me, and trying to starve me out. I need a new career. I love writeing and enjoy being creative. I also do voices but Hollywood isn't exactly hiring full time fools. So, assuming I am intelligent and a good worker who adapts quikly, what are your suggestions? It should pay more than $3,000 take home as I am a single father of three living in Seattle area.(That isn't much for this area) No MLM or outside sales. The suggestions must be hourly or salaried with entry level positions. Training on the job, because I can't take time for school.

They make shakes that provide 100% of all your daily nutritional needs. (www.reliv.com) I just had this crazy idea of putting it in bottles (they sell it in powders) and selling it as "nutrition in a bottle"/natural energy drink to health food stores, schools, coffee shops, smoothie shops (as the powder to put in smoothies), etc. The possibilities are endless. But is it legal/okay to do that with a MLM business? That's my main question. But if I were to do this, what kind of training/knowledge/education would it require? How much money and resources would it take to start out? I haven't signed any agreements yet. I'm not a distributor yet.

During the past several months, I have come across various ads from State Farm and Allstate insurance companies, offering opportunities to come work for them as Insurance Agents, with no experience, with offerings to even set you up in your own business, with your own office, at some future date upon you proving yourself. However upon doing a Google search about this, ex-Insurance Agents that have answered those ads and worked for either company have painted some tales of horror of what it was like for them to work for either company, where they ultimately ended up having to quit after working for several months. So upon reading what I read, I opted to skip trying my luck at either company. Now fast forward . . . while reading the Want Ads over the past two weeks, I have come across an insurance company (Lampe Companies), and they seem to have a few thousand online ads for “Health Insurance Sales Agents” in cities all over the nation that they have posted during the last 2 weeks alone. In their ads they state: “No cold calling because our lead program is so strong that we continually have too many direct mail and call in leads, and never enough agents. Agent and management opportunities immediately available across the country.” I can't imagine that as bad as our economy is, that people are making a beeline to buy insurance. Though it seems there are no up-front cost and they offer all kinds of free training, however it sounds too good to be true . . . especially when I have read the many horror stories (via a Google search) of those ex-Insurance Agents that worked for State Farm and Allstate, where both companies don’t tell you up front that you MUST HAVE good personal credit in order to work for them, then when you go to work for them as an agent, you will have to pay “x” amount of money per month for all of the expenses to work in an office (i.e. training, your desk, use of office equipment, etc.). Yet both companies push agents HARD to sell! sell! sell! So if you don’t make enough sells per month to at least cover your monthly expenses of working in their office (they could care less if you have no take home money as long as you pay your monthly office expenses), they will soon terminate you. Yet some of the former agents of those 2 companies said basically nobody is standing in line to buy insurance, so their managers pretty much told the agents to badger own their family and friends, in order to drum-up business. So I was wondering (if you have any affiliation with Bill & Diane Lampe / Lampe Companies) do you have to pay any money at any time to work for Bill & Diane Lampe / NAA company? If so, what is and how much are the extra stuff you have to pay for? Also is this company a MLM? Does their company actually sell insurance of any kind? Are there really that many leads, where this company needs to hire all of these new agents? Do they make your badger your family and friends to try to get new business? I could not find anything on their company via searching the Better Business Bureau website either, so it seems that they have no BBB file. Yet again, this company sounds too good to be true. Yet via doing a Google search, I could not find anything negative about Bill or Diane Lampe. NOTE: I am posting this question in a few other Yahoo Answer sections, as there does not appear to be a good category to ask this question. WARNING!!! Will my employment history show that I "quit" 2 jobs in the last month? This is weird but in the last month I have been frantically looking for a better job and going on alot of interviews. One week I found "employment" at a MLM company and ended up quiting after 3 days. The next week I was going to try to sell for gutter guardian but it was commission only and we had to train for no pay for longer than I could stay. So I had to "quit" that also after only about 4 days. I don't even feel as if I technically quit because I didn't even work long enough to get paid so I won't even need a W-2. In college I have studied business management, European politics, advertising, philosophy (four of these one year each), and performing arts communication (am in junior year, will be graduating with a bachelor's degree in communication next year). I failed my first four attempts at college not because of laziness or Iack of commitment; but because I made some ignorant choices in my personal lives that required a lot of cleanup, wrecked my relationship with my family, and compromised my mental health. In between I took a year off to take care of myself and make amends at home, got back into college, and gradually pursue the dream again. The dream has been in my heart practically all my life: I want to set up the first performing arts high school in my country that provides hard working, talented teenagers the opportunity to test the waters of professional showmanship within the safety of a responsible educational institute before they'll have to make up their minds if this is what they want to pursue in tertiary education (e.g. conservatoires or performing arts college) or for life. At some point in my life, I want this dream to actually come true, but I don't know yet where to start. I'm 24 and have been in college since 16 after accelerating two grades in high school, so my first go at university was a rushed decision. The campus is originally a PR school that happens to be attended by a number of local celebrities; so they made a communication program tailor made for students intending to pursue a career in showbiz. We ended up getting raw public relations material with odd classes like anthropology, law, and telecommunication technology, with two supplementary art classes per semester. I don't mind the academic subjects, but am alarmed at the lack of theory basis, technique drilling, and emphasis of dedicated showmanship in these classes. We don't even get to choose what kind of performing arts we intend to specialise in, we just get some singing classes and some acting classes but they're basically just throwing the baby in the bath water. So I can sing a bit, act a bit, dance a bit, write scripts, direct, and produce a production satisfactorily, but I can do none of these at a professional level. The reason why I didn't take education major was because I'm not interested in being a classroom teacher. My goal is to raise the capital to start this school, establish a particular brand of education with a distinctive corporate culture, and lead and train the decision makers to run the business responsibly. However, considering that I will need to know the principles of setting up curricula and methods of approaching students to bring out the best of them, I am willing to consider pursuing a master's degree in education.
