How long must I save my direct sales paperwork? I have been in a direct sales business for the past 5 years. I have every reciept and invoice from every customer since then, plus all the reciepts and tax write-off information. It is starting to really stack up in my home. How long must I keep all this paperwork. I keep it only in case of an audit.
What direct sales company is best for me, Pampered Chef, Arbonne, jewelry? I have been attracted to Direct Sales/Party Plan companies for a long time. I have also joined quite a few of them, Arbonne, Heritage Makers, Homemade Gourmet and Pampered Chef (years ago). With Arbonne I became District Manager pretty quickly but didn't have any business builders so it was very hard to keep that title without spending my own money. I also found it hard to get parties. I have always wanted to replace my RN salary (80K+) I know it will take a lot. I want to grow a team. I'm looking into Pampered Chef again. It seems that people are more willing to buy those types of products all year round. I also love a jewelry company that has photo pendants but have heard its hard getting bookings/sales after the holidays. I'm not a natural sales person but know I can do it but also want a fairly easy product that is easy to sell and get bookings. I'd like some honest answers to what you are really making and what has worked best for you. Thanks!
Is it worth the money for a direct sales company? I know you have to put quite a bit of money into direct sales companies like Party Lite, Home&Garden, Pampered Chef, etc. Is it really worth it after you pay for the starter kit, catalogs, postage, and gifts at shows?

How many people are involved in direct sales through in-home-demonstrations in North America? For example: Vacuum, Cookware, Water filtration equipment, Water softener, Window and door sales etc. Most of these sign self-employed agreements (legal firewall), so employment statistics are not accurate. I'm the author of a book on direct sales through in home demonstrations, and that is why I'm asking (for my book proposal). I make a six figure income. So please help if you have an answer and save the solicitations. Thank you.
How would you advertise a NEW direct sales company and convince potential clients that it is a legit company?? I am looking to promote this new Jewelry company and want different ideas (Free or almost free)for advertising that send the message that this new company is NOT a scam, or fly by night company. (like so many advertisements in the online community are.) It is a legitimate company with legitimate founders. The owner is an established entrepenuer and well known in the diamond business. They have started a Home party plan business promoting high quality fashion jewelry and I would like to find creative ways to advertise my business and build a team of women interested in working from home and being their own boss. I would love someone that is "good with words" that could help me write some catchy, fun, creative flyers signs and weblogs to help me grow my business. (?Bartering is not out of the question, either) Thanks in advance for your help and ideas!
Does any direct sales rep know what is the best way to have an online book party? I really want to start offering them, but don't know much about it. I sell Home Interiors & Gifts/Better Homes and Gardens Collection. I am trying to expand my business. I would love any suggestions or ideas. I have my own website: http://homeinteriors.com/designsbyniki I have applied for director this month, yeah! But, I want to really do even more than a couple parties a week. Also, what is the best way to recruit. I NEED to recruit 6+ people this fall. I really want to succeed!!! If I do I will earn my Ford Mustang absolutely free. Also, does anyone know of websites that let you advertise free? Thanks ahead of time for any advice, ideas ect! Have a great day!
Best way to inexpensively advertise my direct sales businesses? Hey everyone! I am a stay at home mom trying to make some extra money doing in-home demos. Looking for a direct sales company? I'm looking for a cosmetic and or bath and body direct sales company to sign up with to earn extra cash. I have direct sales experience, I just want to sign up with a company who's starter kit isn't going to cost me more than $50.00.
I am checking into some of the direct sales jewelry companies, (ie. Silpada, Lia Sophia, Premier)? I am looking for how much start up is and any other information (ie. are you required to keep stocked products, what is the commissions, etc.) I just want to compare so that I can make a knowledgeable choice if I decide to go with one. I've worked in direct sales before (BeautiControl) which I still love the products, but just want a change of pace. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Please feel free to email me if you can't answer publicly.
