Is there anything in the law in California requiring MLM companies to have a refund policy? Or any other way to get a refund after joining a MLM company?

Do I file a separate federal income tax return for my MLM business? I started a MLM business in November 2007. When I file my taxes do I have to file separately for the business. It is all under my social security number. Just want to stay on the right side of the law. Thanks

Are get rich quick / mlm / pyramid / work from home scam sites illegal?? If they are not illegal, they should be because I have lost well over $350 investing in many of these sites and couldnt even get a refund afterwards. I got so fed up that i created my very own site where i expose all of these fraudulent people. Will I get in to trouble for doing so?? multi-level market a miracle or a tragedy ? A friend of mine recently asked me to join a multi-level marketing (MLM). In a MLM, a sale agent gets another person to join under his name with a entry fees .The primary sale agent will then take a commission .The subsequent agent will then earn commission by recruiting more ppl .Technically ,such approach is unlawful. However , many companies bypass this law by claiming that the main aim is to sell a particular products and recruiting ppl is only a form of "marketing" .But what appalled me is not that such scam existed .But how many people know that it is a scam and yet they choose to continue and pulled even more ppl into this whirlpool .Their reasoning is that no matter what ,so as long as money is to be made , its ok .Whats worse is that this people actually managed to swindle large profits legally but unjustly .YES ,i may be prejudiced against MLM , but is hoping that we won t not degrade into a society that judge everything in terms of money so wrong?
